Welcome to Fairport Harbor Yacht Club (FHYC). This club is the best kept
secret, and most affordable Yacht Club on the Great Lakes! The club
grounds are comprised of a little over 12 acres of greenery in a park like
setting. Between the Main Land and the Island our members enjoy the
convenience of dockside parking, picnic tables at their docks, our famous “Dock Boxes”, the children’s playground and several fire pits. Did I mention our dock boxes? Ask a member for a tour, I think you will be surprised when they fix you a soft drink or cocktail, turn on the stereo and maybe offer a little lunch from the microwave out of one of these dockside boxes. You’ll see what I mean.
     The club is located on the east side of the Grand River just a little south of Pickle Bill’s Restaurant and about a half mile south of Lake Erie. If the lake is a little rough and tumble, that’s not a problem. We have the Metro parks Fairport Harbor Beach and Boaters Beach both inside the mile long break wall to enjoy. Did I mention our beautiful grounds, were equipped with Wi-Fi, a main clubhouse, the Island house, shower house, restaurants, and beaches. What could you not love about FHYC?
     Our members captain sailboats, powerboats large and small, jet skis, inflatable's. We have our private wet well and travel lift to haul and launch boats,and large winter storage capacity yard . We have dedicated fisherman, racing and cruising sailors, families that spend the day at a local beach and members that travel the lake going in all directions.
     It is easy to find an activity every weekend and people to enjoy it with. Our members participate in the maintenance of this great club and also help with the many activities that we offer during the course of the year. From our Welcome Aboard party in April, Regatta Weekend in the summer, Dock Crawl in August to our Christmas Party, everyone helps out and joins in on the fun. WE are a working mans club with benefits. If you get a chance, come on down for a weekend and visit us. We have
guest dockage available and also participate in ILYA reciprocal dockage. Who knows, you might visit for a weekend and decide to stay. It’s happened before! If you are looking for a club where you can permanently tie your lines, our monthly membership meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month at 7:30 pm. We extend an open invitation to anyone that would be interested in FHYC. I would encourage you to call ahead at the clubhouse number shown above with any questions you may have.
